Brighten Your Day

Hello loves, ❤

We all have bad days from time to time. While those days are never any fun, what really matters is how they are handled. A person who gives into the bad days with a sour-puss mood is likely to fall into a deep spiral of bleak days. However, a person who finds little ways to brighten even the darkest of days will probably find that their grey days are few and far between.

Wondering what you can do to turn your next dreary day around and make it a joyful one? Try the simple ideas below to bring a smile to your face.

Pick Up a New Book

Reading is a wonderful way to escape the world’s harsh realities for a while. If you are having a particularly rough day, you might find that an enchanting fiction novel based in a far-off place is just what you need to bring your spirits back up. Why not give it a try? A trip to the library is easy enough to make, and borrowing a book or two doesn’t cost anything, so there is very little to lose.

Take a Walk

Sometimes a lack of vitamin D can really pull a person down in the dumps. If you find yourself in a series of dreary days—especially if you have spent little time in the sun—it might be time to get outside and soak up some of that D vitamin.

A walk is the perfect way to get in those much-needed rays and boost your spirits through exercise at the same time. As an added bonus, any wildflowers you find along the way can be used to brighten your kitchen table and add a bit more colour to your world.

Bake a Cake

We have all heard that comfort food is a wonderful form of medicine. Next time you are feeling down, why not give this theory a try? Whip up a cake or some cookies and sit with them as they bake and release their wonderful aroma into the air. Once baked, sit and slowly indulge in their goodness.

Are you trying to lose weight or eat healthier? No problem! There are plenty of healthy comfort foods out there too. Try finding a simple veggie casserole recipe to use in place of the cake or cookies, and you’ll be in business.

Get Snuggly

Occasionally, a person just needs to wrap up in a warm blanket, get comfortable in their favourite chair, and cuddle with someone they love. This might mean catching the cat for a quick snuggle, or it could mean subjecting a family member to a few minutes of hugging. Either way, it will likely leave you feeling much more able to take on the day.

Pay It Forward

Sometimes the best way to find happiness is to give happiness. Choosing to put something beautiful into the world—even on the less-than-awesome days—is a wonderful way to ensure that beauty comes right back to you. For this reason, it is often a good idea to use off days as a reminder to volunteer for a good cause, pay for a stranger’s lunch, or help an elderly person onto the bus. Not only will you feel better about the world after doing so, the people you helped will also have a brighter outlook in things.

As you can see, there are plenty of easy and inexpensive ways to treat a bad day and turn it around. Next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, skip the sulking and try one of these techniques to see if you can make a bad day better. You might be surprised what the simplest activity can do for a mood.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤

44,000 Views, Yay!

Hello loves ❤

here we are again, another day, another 1000 views for the goodie bag.

We just keep soaring through views & I couldn’t be more grateful to have such a big support system behind me on my blog.

Thank you to YOU! You are the reason for these blogs, I love making these blogs FOR YOU!

You truly all mean so much to me, more than you’ll ever know – Whenever I go through my notifications all I see is new followers, likes on blogs, comments on blogs & its just such a lovely feeling in my heart to see all this & to also interact with every single one of you.

I have made some lovely new friends along the way through this blogging world & I wouldn’t change a second of my experience on here.

I pray you are all well, I just remembered that I didn’t share my weekend w/ you all ❤

First of all, I’d love to show you the CHRISTMAS TREE so far, my sister is the only person that has put things under the tree so far, but even with her presents, look how many pressies there are. (I am no snooper, lol)

I went bike riding over the weekend, it was such a lovely experience, I love bike riding, I love being in nature, I love breathing in fresh air. When I am breathing in artificial air in the office all day, its great to be outdoors & smell some fresh air.

Also did a little workout whilst there too ❤ A stair workout to burn those legs.

I love this place, this is the only ‘local’ place I will bike ride. I wish where I go for my long walks did bike hire.

Maybe I should buy a bike & buy roof racks for my car… wishful thinking.

Hehe, here is a photo of me. This spot is my favourite place to take photos especially bc of the trees all in a row with one another.

There are so many spots here that you can take great photos at.

I really would love to go here more often, it just becomes a costly thing to hire the bike.

I really would love to vlog a day bike riding to truly show the beautiful nature I see on this ride.

Am I hinting a youtube channel coming soon? 😛 😛 😛

8CFC06C6-B523-41FC-ADE5-59CC8A6CC2A3I also went to the beach over the weekend & really de-stressed & relaxed & truly just switched off. I have been putting myself under a lot of stress lately & really needed a day of nothing.

I know for a fact that I need to start focusing on myself, my thoughts, my happiness & my future.

I need to start focusing on the things that I like in life & start enjoying the life that I have been blessed with.

Considering I have been stressed lately, (which is unfortunate) I carry a lot of tension in my head, neck, shoulders & back.

I went & got my cupping done again, if you don’t know what cupping is read my Cupping Therapy blog ❤  I def needed this. I went & got a massage as well as the cupping therapy & I felt that I walked out a new person. Look how craxy the photos is (don’t mind the unmade bed)

I love cupping, it has changed my life – I love it, I recommend everyone to get into it if you have tension.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤

My Birthday Weekend – Swimming, The Langham & Food.

Hello lovely people ❤

I pray you all had a beautiful weekend. I had THE BEST weekend. EVER!

Both Saturday + Sunday, I spent w/ Rach, she made my birthday one to remember.

Saturday, I went to the Mind, Body & Soul Festival. I go every year, the event is on 2 times per year. Once in May & One in October, I am there without fail. I love it! I purchased 3 books this year.

  • The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking
  • It’s All Good by Cassie Mendoza-Jones (Started reading this one on the train to work)
  • Positive Energy by Tanaaz Chubbs

I than went to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre & went for a swim w/ Rach, that was SO much FUN. Swimming isn’t easy, I woke up the next day w/ a SORE BODY. The chlorine dried out my skin SOOOOOO much, but was def worth the experience. The last time I went to the Aquatic Centre, I would’ve been atleast 10 years old.

We than went out for food, I had a lovely acai bowl, whilst Rach had a breakfast plate.

Rach also did my nails, she did a nude colour shellac coating w/ some gold glitter on the accent nail. #birthdaynails

I also watched SLEEPING BEAUTY for the FIRST time… ever! Yes, I know where was I as a child? Why didn’t I watch Disney movies? I know, I know, I am the wost. I only watched The Lion King last year.

I loved Sleeping Beauty, I was so intrigued. I than watched Maleficent… WOW! That is a whole different BALL GAME. Has anyone watched that?

On Sunday, Rach took me out for my birthday. We went for a walk at Barangaroo, Sydney – the view was amazing. I would love to do a picnic there in the near future, it was AMAZING. We sat by the sun & had a beautiful morning, chatting etc.

We than made out way to The Langham for a beautiful treatment, I had the most amazing massage of my life, the therapist was amazing, she really took a lot of the knots out of my body (I am so knotted from the gym as well as sleeping like a PRETZEL & also sitting at a computer desk all day.

I felt like a new woman after it!

We than had access to the pool, spa, sauna – what an amazing experience. the inside of this pool area AMAZED me so much. It was honestly the most amazing experience – the pool was set at a nice warm temperature.

We than got ready for our High Tea lunch together, got dressed up, put some make up on, did my hair & off we went upstairs to our High Tea experience.

I absolutely loved it, I tried food I would NEVER try.8BF05BC0-A6F7-480A-A3A0-90294BD87FF6

Al the food came out on a cute Cupcake-looking-stand. When you see it, you think there’s only a little bit of this & a little bit of that.

BUT… Don’t be fooled. I was full just after the bottom tier. The scones filled me up. BUT they were the best SCONES of my life. & I’ve tried my fair share of scones. The jam was delicious & they whipped their own cream there. I WAS AMAZED.

Below is a photo of the menu & the things we got to try.

(Look at the design of the cup & plate, sooooo cute)

The only thing I didn’t like & I have to be honest is Duck Liver Parfait, when Rach & I tried, we both look at each other & just put the food back on the table.

I would never try DUCK but I did & I am proud. The food was lovely. By the time we got the the top of the tier, I was STUFFFFFFFFFFED. My stomach was going to burst. EB6E238C-7120-4099-95BC-4464D8592182

I also had the most beautiful tea, I had a peach flower tea pot, it was honestly such a beautiful tea.

I really need to see if T2 has this tea, I WILL BUY IT!

Just when I thought it was all over… Rach organised a lovely platter of chocolates to come out  & they wrote Happy Birthday on the plate. It was so lovely of Rach to organise this. I was gobbsmacked!

The walk back to car was NEEDED bc I was SOOOOOO FULL. It was a mission to walk back to the car in my heels BUT I did it 🙂

Rach got a nice photo of my outside The Langham when we were leaving which I really like.

I am so happy that I got to share my weekend w/ you all.

I am so excited for this week leading up to my birthday 🙂

I am very grateful of such a beautiful weekend from such a beautiful & lovely friend ❤

How was everyones weekend? I would lover to hear what you all got up too.
