A Weekend of Fun

Hello lovely people ❀

It’s Tuesday morning here in Sydney, Australia – I was SLAMMED at work yesterday so I couldn’t write, I could only respond to peoples comments form the weekend & thats about it.

BUT… I am here today to share my weekend with you all, I had such a lovely weekend & hope to have more like this coming up to Summer.

On Saturday morning, I went to the gym & washed my car (I always need to wash my car), I than went to purchase an Acai bowl & head to the cemetery. My grandfather has been passed now for 10 years & I went to purchase some flowers & spend some time there. His location is very peaceful & very different to your ‘typical cemetery’

There is a beautiful waterfall & beautiful quotes all around, I love it there, its a lovely place to relax & reflect, spend time with my grandfather & pray.

I love coming here often, I don’t come as often as I should bc I am always so busy but I pray to start coming here more often.

I always leave so happy & relaxed.

Some people don’t like cemeteries & I respect that so I apologise if I have offended anyone with this post.

See below, how beautiful is the waterfall.

After I spent some time at the cemetery, I than went to grab some lunch & head home.

When I got home, my parents announced that we were going to have some dins & play Aqua Golf w/ my family & my sister fiances family.

WHAT A FUN NIGHT, I had so much fun. I threw my shoulder out playing Aqua Golf.

Aqua Golf is where you buy a bucket of golf balls & hit them into the water, the aim is the get the ball into the nets out in the water & if you do, you can win money.

Haha, out of ALL of us, not one of us won.

I woke up the next day with such a sore shoulder & sore rib cages, haha.

On Sunday, I went to Auntys house which was lovely to spend time with family.

It was nice to relax, switch off & have a tea & relax with loved ones around me.

When I returned home, I went grocery shopping for the week. (I will do a separate post on this)

I purchased breakfast & lunch for the whole week, than came home & prepped everything, so I was happy with that.

I pray everyone had a lovely weekend, I would love to hear what you got up to on the weekend, I am all ears πŸ™‚

Summer is coming & I am so excited to be outdoors this summer, soaking up the sun & enjoying time around family & loved ones.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❀

  2. The cemetery is certainly lovely and I can see it is relaxing. I would be happy to sit there too.

My weekend was the following, which I shared at the end of my Chit-chat October post; Saturday morning, after feeding Miley and having my breakfast, I read a book, then I went out to a coffee and cake morning that a local shop was having to raise money for Macmillan. I met my mum there and while there, I browsed the handmade gifts in the store. I bought something for myself and the other was towards a Christmas present, to go with something else I bought earlier on in the year. Me and my mum then walked back to mine and chatted back at mine for a couple of hours over further decaf tea and decaf coffee.
When my mum decided she was going to leave, to make her way back home, I decided to make my way to Nottingham for a bit. This was to do some Christmas shopping while I had the money, while soaking up the atmosphere. I was just down there for a couple of hours, before coming back home to have my dinner, then I relaxed with book.

Sunday, after my breakfast and feeding Miley, I continued reading my book while the washer was on. Basically just having a lazy day and nothing else planned.

The cemetery is a lovely place, it takes me to a whole other world.

What a beautiful weekend, sound so peaceful. Lovely to hear you like spending time with your mum. My mum is my best friend & we ALWAYS spend time together.

AHHH CHRISTMAS! Thats one word I don't want to hear. HAHA! Its too soon & I am no where near organised.

You sound like you had such a relaxing weekend.

  4. ha ha I would think aqua golf would be everyone’s dream golf game for those who are use to hitting the water all of the time πŸ™‚
That was a pretty water fountain, and a beautiful reading for your grandfather.
Praying you have a blessed week! God loves you!

  5. I love going to the cemetery as well… I really feel like I can visit with my mom n grandma and my better half mom n dad…I usually for every holiday and season I go and get different flowers and make an arrangement for each one and just sit and talk with them…
I am happy that you got to take your time out of your day and visit as well…as always I love your post…

      1. Yes again I agree 1000% with you… I need to see how much money I have left at the end of the month in order to buy more fake flowers and make new fall arrangements for them… the dollar store or thrift store always has them for a good price and then I can arrange them how I like lol…

      2. Yeah that is one reason I make them with fake ones and and…they usually last so you can keep them with your decorations and use them again… just make the arrangement different…
but I am a sucker for real flowers rather they from the yard or store lol…
I think the pictures are on my old computer that won’t stay on long enough to get any pictures off : ( lol just my luck… but I do have pictures of my grandma and bf parents but not with what I made…at least not that I know of on here…but that is a great idea I will look to make sure and maybe make a post about it…thank you for that suggestion : )

I have this one lil problem tho… bf half sister never even visits the cemetery at all never once and I get that and understand it….but once she found out that I started to do the flowers and enjoyed doing so…she would make it a point to go out to the cemetery out of her way and take mine down and throw them on the ground or throw them away… still hurts …

Ah, there is always someone that will rain on your parade.

Don’t let it get to you bc the effort your going to doesn’t go unnoticed & is appreciated from your loved ones you’ve lost.
