Picture the scenario. It’s Monday morning. You can barely drag yourself out of bed. You’re exhausted. You get ready for work, barely making it out the door on time. You don’t have a lunch packed, so you’ll grab some fast food on your lunch hour. You sit down at your desk and sigh. Your desk is a mess because you couldn’t wait to get out the door on Friday afternoon. Your email inbox is full, more junk mail than work mail. It’s going to be a long day. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? We’ve all been there. But it doesn’t have to be that way. If you take advantage of your Sundays to prepare for the week, Mondays can be a heck of a lot easier!
Here are 7 things you can do on Sunday for a more productive week.
Think of Sunday as the First Day of the Week
Most people think of Sunday as the last day to relax before heading back to work or school. Instead, think of Sunday as the first chance to prepare yourself for the week’s tasks. Monday mornings will feel less dreadful and less overwhelming because you’ve already got yourself in the mindset.
Clean Out Your Email Inbox
If you work a typical 9-5 job, chances are most of the emails you receive Friday night through Sunday are personal and junk mail as opposed to work email. Clean those out on Sunday night so you can sit down Monday to only emails you’ve received that morning. It will help jump into work more quickly when you don’t have to sludge through junk mail.
Write a To-Do List For the Week
When it comes to having a more productive week, this is my most effective way to do it. Having these tasks laid out before the week starts will allow you to jump right into them Monday morning.
Clean Your Desk
If you work from home, clean your desk off on Sunday so you start the week with a clean desk. Put anything you’ll need for Monday’s projects front and center. If you don’t work from home, this is something best done Friday afternoon before you leave for the weekend.
Schedule Social Media/Blogs For the Week
I tend to organise my blogs in advance, that way I am not falling behind – use Sunday as a day that you can organise your upcoming blog posts.
Clean the House
There’s nothing worse than starting the work week with a messy house! I always have a more productive week when it starts with a clean bedroom. Monday evenings after work are pretty much the last time I want to come home and clean my bedroom.
Meal Plan and Meal Prep
Sundays are typically the day I do any grocery shopping. Before I do that, I write a meal plan. I write down what we’ll have for breakfast and dinner each day. We almost always have leftovers for lunch, but I pick up fixings for sandwiches or wraps just in case.
Wherever you are in the word, have a lovely day ❤
I demand to get wind to go with the catamenia but I let to allow, it’s very tough sometimes 😦

I loved all of these sooo much!! I’m ALWAYS that person on a Monday morning! Except.. every day of the week. I would try to do what I could but I had no energy. Time management is something I never properly had. Reading this really inspired me to do, just this!! Sunday is my favorite day of the week because I love to just do things. Just never these things!

Thanks for your comment.
Think of SUNDAY as the first day of the week not Monday.
Knowing that you can train yourself into thinking Sunday is the first day of the week you can become more prepared ❤

Excellent tips✨
I have been learning through my own experience the importance of planning out the week ahead. It helps out so much! I only dislike planning months ahead. I prefer to go with the flow, see what happens what ideas I have etc. but I’ll now start cleaning my email out on Sunday! That sounds like a great idea.

I agree! Going with the flow is great. I’ve never had to go THAT far out, but I hope it all works out for you!!

I have learnt from my own experiences too – it’s good when we learn from our own experiences ❤
My partner likes to go w/ the flow – I am trying to adapt to his lifestyle bc I like everything planned out but sometimes things don't go to plan.

Yeah sometimes things come up or you just have to let life happen as it’s meant to. I find that many times I like to go with the flow but there are some things that must be planned out So it’s really all about a good balance.✨

There are many to enjoy relaxing on Sunday while getting things done. After church, I put my feet up and go through mail, e-mails, encourage others, listen to sermons, Christian music,. When the Lord allows it can be the day to really get some much needed sleep.
