Hey lovely person!
Todays challenge is another simple, yet amazingly effective idea:
Your comfort box
‘When your child is feeling sad or down or worried, your instinct is to wrap them up, give them a warm milky drink and a favourite teddy and settle them down with a book, or favourite DVD. This helps make them feel loved and safe and warm.
You may have heard of the expression “the inner child” – the theory is that inside each of us is our own inner child who needs some attention and love.
A comfort box is a useful way of helping you to give yourself the care that your inner child needs… just as you would to your own children.’
So your challenge today is to list what you want to put in your comfort box, and then start to collect those things.
Why not get a beautiful box to keep everything in. Then, the next time you feel low you can surround yourself with all those things to make yourself feel better.
In mine, a colouring book, some textas, a good book, vanilla scented candle, small bar of chocolate. (I will certainly like to add more)
Remember the ‘100 things that make me happy’ list from day 7? Use that for inspiration, and keep it in your comfort box to remind you of things in life you appreciate.
Frankly, there is no right or wrong (ok, hang on, I guess putting a cute puppy in there MIGHT be wrong…) and of course it can be added to as things come to mind.
Stay tuned for Day 17.
Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤
Thank you for re-blogging ❤

I have all of these things in my house and tend to gravitate towards them when I am having a rough day. I should put them all in a box so they are together!

Thats a good idea ❤
Pop them all in a box, maybe even do a post about them, I'd love to to see other peoples comfort boxes.

Comfort box contents: cozy yoga pants, cozy blanket, lavender essential oil, epson salt (for bath), a Harry Potter book, Buffy DVDs, teddy bear (he cannot live in the box though, I’m a 25 year old married professional with a masters degree and I will proudly tell anyone he lives in my bed 😂😂). Great idea!

Haha, you sure are 🙂 It’s funny that I forget that not every country speaks the way we do 🙂
Hm… Moschie? I haven’t heard of that one.
Maybe its not from the area I am from 🙂
