Shoutout to

Thank you for those that have joined the 21 Day Self Care Challenge – if you don’t know what this is, click here 🙂

We are up to day 9, & its never too late to start 🙂 I’d love to see you there.

Big things have been happening this month, this month is a VERY big month for me.

I am too doing the Self Care Challenge w/ you all + will be posting my journey in a one-sentence-per-day blog when the challenge is over.

So its a very big month for so many reasons – it’s a struggle but I am keeping my mind busy. It’s the best way otherwise I will drive myself mental.

Thank you for those that take the time to read my blog + give me advice 🙂 You all are so appreciated.

I just uploaded a new photo on my instagram w/ a quote that I absolutely love, which is: Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds – you can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤

Self Care Challenge Day 9: Fear

21 Day Self Care Challenge - Day Nine

Hey lovely person!

So it’s day 9, and you’ve covered a lot. Some fun things, some more serious things and some things that are just a pleasure to do.

Today you’re going to look at the most important thing you can do to increase your self care.

I want to work on saying ‘no’

Because the ability to say no is fundamental to self care, and a vital life skill. Without it, you are at the beck and call of everyone, unable to make choices and take control of your life. With both physical and mental consequences you feel overwhelmed, stressed and depressed.

Yes, serious stuff!

The ability to say no is far more than just learning a few scripts or sentences to use because let’s face it, if it was that easy we’d all be saying no to things!

The thing that makes it hard to say no is fear:

Fear of rejection

Fear of hurting someones feelings

Fear of conflict

Fear having someone think badly of you

But what if I said you can say no politely, respectfully and without conflict?

What if I said you could say no without hurting anyones feelings and without them getting upset?

Well you can…

So today, I’d like you to grab your journal and explore how you feel about saying no.

For example, is it easier to say no to a man or a woman? Work or social? Family or non family?  Does it make a difference if you’re face to face, or via tech?

Allow yourself to become aware of how you feel when you are asked to do something you don’t want to, whether you say no or not.

Saying no to unwanted requests without guilt is the number one thing you can do for your self care

Stay tuned for Day 10.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤
