It Took 1 Day (19,000 Views)

A thousand views in a day! What is this blog becoming! OMG! I have no idea where to begin!Gratefulandblessed-KDCO-01

You are all so so so loved ❤

I can see in my stats that people are sharing my blogs to their facebook + twitter pages – I cannot believe that my blogs are now reaching another platform. Would I ever go to Facebook or Twitter? I personally don’t think so :S I am happy the way I am.

I nominated Start in a Kitchen for The Mystery Blogger Award bc I absolutely love her blog, the words that she came back + said about my blog left me gobbsmacked.

These kind words that people say about my blog leave me speechless, I have no words. To impact peoples life leaves me feeling amazing. I absolutely love the feeling of hearing an outside perspective of how people feel about my blog.

Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for all the support, kindness + love I receive off all of you.

I got nominated for The Blogger Recognition Award today, so I shall add that post shortly.

I am beyond grateful that so many people are following my journey ❤

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤

Home Made LCM Bars

IMG_6491

I didn’t realise how easy they were to make – will def be making these more often.

I spent my Monday night making LCM bars, (who said LCM bars are for little kids), I remember having these in my lunch box growing up, they were THE best! I actually

Below is the recipe, if you do decide to make these, be sure to tag me so I can see your fabulous work! 🙂

  • 75g melted butter
  • 250g white marshmallows
  • 2.5 cups of rice bubbles
  • Handful of mini mnms
  • Handful of milk choc chips

  • Handful of sprinkles

Note: You can add whatever add ons that you like, I just added all the things I liked 🙂

Method:

  1. Grease and line the base and sides of a 20 x 30cm pan, allowing the 2 long sides to overhang.
  2. Combine the butter and marshmallows in a medium saucepan over medium-low
heat. Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes or until butter and marshmallows melt and mixture is smooth.
  3. Combine the rice bubbles and M&M’s in a large bowl.  Pour over the marshmallow mixture and quickly stir to combine.
  4.  Spoon mixture into the prepared pan, use the back of a spoon to smooth the surface.
  5. Place in the fridge for 2 hours to set. Cut into desired shapes + serve 🙂

This was honestly the best thing ever, once they had set in the fridge, I quickly had to have one.. or two 😛

Maybe next time I’ll use a bigger bowl, I lost some rice bubbles in my mixing process, haha.

They tasted SO delicious – I will most certainly be making these again!

Literally took me 15-20 to prepare, my job was done before I even started 🙂

Self Care Challenge Day 7: What Makes You Happy

21 Day Self Care Challenge - Day Seven

Hey lovely person!

Firstly – WELL DONE!!

You’ve got to day 7, so that’s a whole week of self care!

7 Days of making yourself a priority, I’m absolutely delighted for you, and hope that you are proud of yourself.

You are building solid foundations for a better future. And have you noticed that all of these challenges are just very small, doable changes? There is nothing big and scary to contend with – and that’s because small changes done regularly add up to big changes, and in this case, the big change is in your belief system – the belief that yes, it’s okay for me to think of and take care of myself.

We’ve covered a lot. You’ve started a journal, explored your sleep patterns, touched on mindfulness, looked at how to get more leisure activities into your life and explored your work/life balance. That’s a lot in a few days!

Let’s celebrate!

Acknowledging your wins and celebrating successes is also great for your self care, so don’t be shy.

So well done! Keep on going -there’s plenty more good stuff you’ll really enjoy to come!

After yesterdays pretty intense task, I have a delightful task for you today that I know you’re going to love.

What makes you happy?

Just get a drink, get comfy and grab your journal. Write 100 things that make you happy. You have 30 minutes.

Let your mind wander, and think of anything and everything that gives you pleasure – that perfect pen, the smell of coffee, the sound of leaves when you step on them…anything! You’ll probably slow down at some point and have to think a bit harder, but stick with it.

When you have your list, you can work on really appreciating those things – stopping to take in the aroma of coffee/tea in the morning, for example, or take delight in opening a new jar of coffee/tea and taking in it’s rich scent…yum!

And work on making sure you have as much access to these things in your life as possible – for example, get rid of all those scratchy pens you don’t like.

Tomorrow, it’s a simple thing you can do to vastly increase your physical health, and not a gym in sight!

Stay tuned for Day 8.

Wherever you are in the world, have a lovely day ❤
