Are you a complainer? I AM GUILTY! I feel that is all I do 😦
When we look at the below w/ fresh eyes, we realise how bad complaining really can be for our mental & physical health.
Below are 10 reasons complaining is toxic for our souls.
- Makes things look worse
- Becomes a habit
- Skews our focus
- Increases complaining
- Makes people blue
- Kills creativity
- Rewards negative
- Causes bad relationships
- Create ‘complaining companions’
- Leads to pessimism
When I think of the above I think of: Philippians 2:14-16
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
So true, but hard to practice daily.

Extremely hard! It is a challenging task – but when we are aware of our thoughts, we can combat the toxic ones ❤
